Our future as a not-for-profit social enterprise.
Founded in 2017, Mareporta Property Management began with a singular focus: ensuring adults across Kent with learning disabilities, special needs and mental health requirements have access to a true home of their own.
For nearly a decade, we have worked to provide a vital alternative to long-term residential care and hospital wards.
In 2026, we proudly cemented our duty to the people we serve by transitioning into a Community Interest Company.
This move ensures that our mission remains at the heart of everything we do, allowing us to reinvest our resources back into the community and continue championing independence, dignity and specialised housing for those who need it most.

Partnering with Landlords

Long-Term Stewardship: We treat your property as a home. By signing a long-term lease with us, you protect your investment while helping solve Kent’s housing shortage.
Professional Property Stewardship: Our property maintenance team handles all repairs from simple routine fixes to advanced work ensuring your property is maintained to a highest standard.
Regulatory & Legal Compliance: We ensure your property stays ahead of changing legislation, managing everything from EPC upgrades and Gas Safety to the Renters’ Reform Act.
Financial Certainty: Our rent is supported by the local authority, ensuring you receive guaranteed monthly payments with fair rent reviews every two years.
Supporting Care Leavers (18+)
In 2026, Mareporta are focused towards providing homes for young adults with learning disabilities and mental health requirements leaving the foster care system. Our focus is on ensuring these individuals aren't placed in general accommodation that fails to meet their specific needs.
Purpose-Built Placements: We source properties specifically suited for those with learning disabilities and complex needs, avoiding the risks of inappropriate general housing.
Collaborating with Social Workers: We work directly with Social Services to ensure we can provide the best long-term, secure placements for their service users.
Protecting their future: By providing the right environment from day one, we help prevent the breakdown of placements and offer these young adults a stable place to call home.
The People Behind Mareporta
Lianne Rollins
Founder & Director
Lianne founded Mareporta in 2017, drawing on her experience as a Director within the care sector, a role she continues to hold today. While her background in care provision inspired the creation of the company, she does not have direct day-to-day input into Mareporta's current operations. Instead, she provides high-level oversight to ensure the business remains true to its original vision of supporting individuals with complex needs.
